Why does a roofing company offer plastering?
Plastering was actually where my career started.
When I left school, I wanted to become a plasterer, just like my dad. He taught me the basics and I started learning the trade from him.
Unfortunately, my dad had to stop working due to a bad back while I was still young. As I couldn’t drive at the time, he managed to find me some temporary work with a friend of his who was a roofer.
Well… that temporary work turned into a career!
I learnt to roof and, although I continued to do the occasional bit of plastering over the years, roofing gradually became my main trade and the plastering stopped altogether.
Fast forward around 10 years and, when we needed to build a dividing wall in our own home, I decided it was time to get the plastering gear back out.
It turns out I hadn’t completely forgotten how to do it!
Having enjoyed getting back into plastering, we’re now offering small plastering and internal repair jobs alongside our roofing work.
